Dare to Dream

SOLOISTS GRADE 4 BAND GRADE 2

Dare to Dream was commissioned by the Maysville High School Concert Band for their performance at the 2026 Ohio Music Education Association Professional Development Conference. This piece was written to feature four Maysville alumni, who are now working music educators. A quartet of two alto saxophones and two trombones work their way through variations on an initial, lyrical melody, showcasing the depths and versatility of their instruments. Accompanied by an approachable band accompaniment and engaging percussion, Dare to Dream is a celebration of the Maysville band program and students past, present and future.
