The Music of Benjamin N Brody

Benjamin N. Brody (b. 2002) is a nationally recognized and performed composer, pursuing his masters degree in music composition at Appalachian State University. Brody has collaborated with many different ensembles including the Cleveland Chamber Symphony, Raleigh Symphony Orchestra Chamber Players, Heartland Marimba Ensemble, Southwestern Oklahoma State University Wind Symphony, the University of Akron Wind Symphony and Symphony Band, The Ohio State University Middle School Concert Band Academy as well various secondary schools across the nation. Brody’s music has been selected for performances at numerous Ohio Music Education Association Professional Development Conferences, the Mid-West Regional Tuba and Euphonium Conference, and the 2023 Cleveland Chamber Symphony Young and Emerging Composers Concert. Brody’s other accolades include being a two-time finalist for The American Prize and winning the 2026 Raleigh Symphony Orchestra Call for Scores. Before attending Appalachian State, Brody received his bachelors in music composition at The University of Akron. Brody has studied composition with Jenni Brandon, Robert Brownlow, Nicole Piunno, James Wilding and Roger Zare.
